about

hi!I'm Juls (she/him), a queer writer at the University of Victoria, where I study fiction and poetry. I write adult and young adult speculative and fantasy novels, short stories, and poetry. I lean towards writing queernormative worlds, and have projects spanning from high/epic fantasy to cozy/speculative. I spent a decade working customer service before the pandemic helped me realise that I needed to follow my passion, and so I returned to university in my late twenties. I have two years left in my degree and plan on applying for an MFA after.I live with my husband and our two cats, Big Al and Greta.I am a second generation settler of European descent and live on unceded lək̓ʷəŋən land. I study and work uninvited on the stolen territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples.
